Most professionals have worked in Fluor most of their career. Many 20-40 years so the turnover is low but for new experienced employees with less than 5 years, it is difficult to keep employed there and run the risk of a lay-off if they do not have work to employ you but those with seniority will get transferred to the corporate office.

Problems at local office of India. Not much work. Nepotism at its best - you have to be in good books of higher management to get noticed, only the near and dear ones are given preferences. Management has short sighted vision - hire when you have work, fire the moment the work goes away. Too much micromanagement. Incompetent project management team- lacking leaders. Not a very free environment. Employees do not feel secure to speak their mind freely and are afraid of repercussions.
