Pros
The profit sharing plan was one of the best in the industry at one time and gave many of their seasoned associates a nice retirement cushion.
Cons
As of 2010, Food Lion has ceased hiring full time associates until they meet their corporate goal of a 60/40 percent ratio of 60% part timers and 40% full timers. In addition to this, you can no longer step down to a lesser position if you are currently in a position you cannot handle or dislike, the only other alternative is to just quit.
