Pros

Some people had promising promotions quickly if they know how to please their boss especially the Regionals

Cons

Toxic work environment. I’ve worked at the company for many years and heard/seen lots of people from different locations. It’s all about how to cover up your mistakes and how to please your boss. And once you moved up a little bit, it’s all becoming how to squeeze out every bit of value from the employees until nothing left. Overworked employees and underpaid them. Blamed them for your management oversight of mistakes and adding lots of unnecessary checks. Toss them like garbage. At the end, every situation has an alternative way to resolve- only money and lying to customers matter and not the quality of work or accuracy of testing.

It is disheartening to hear these comments. While I appreciate your wish to voice your concerns, this venue will not be the best way for you to get these comments off your chest or get to a resolution – we have an open door policy here and you know that. You state that you are located here in San Antonio as a current Lab Lead (?) – just a few steps away from multiple resources to assist you in-person with your concerns. Did you actually intend to list a different location? Many of your statements and allegations are concerning and not correct, especially those directed to our employees, quality and accuracy of testing and our customers. We care deeply about our people and go above and beyond to provide opportunities to grow and offer continued support. I have shared your concerns with the lab management team as well as our VP of Microbiology Operations. I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you in-person, you may walk over at your convenience. Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP, HR

No company is perfect

Pros

It definitely depends at which lab you work at this company. I really loved working at FSNS. The management was very helpful. But like the title... no company (management) is perfect. Just like any other reviews on this company, overtime is literally guranteed. Unless you are in the management, you will be hourly. More hours you work, bigger the check. That was my trade when I worked overtime. Daily workload is a lot. I mean a lot. But, you need to know the workflow. If you are totally clueless at managing the workload, you will be stressed out. I did run around like a headless chicken almost every sing shifts I worked. But I actually enjoyed working nonstop. I will prefer the busy hours compared to twiddling my thumbs the entire shift. I consider the people I work with a lot important than the workload. My regional director was amazing!! I mean amazing!!! He is the reason why I started working at FSNS. "Most" of the people I worked with were great to work with. Definitely you will get experience and knowledge that can be used in other fields. After a year, you can have at least six or seven scientific tests that you can add to your resume.

Cons

It depends on which lab you work at. Pretty low pay compared to other equivalent jobs but half the amount of work.

We work hard to hire the very best and it would appear we thought you were the right fit for us, but apparently that was not the case. We provide opportunities for training, growth and development for all employees. Our goal is to create a culture where our employees are happy, engaged and appreciated. I wish you the very best on your new opportunity. Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP, HR
