Pros

Not hard work and good experience for future jobs.

Cons

I used to be proud of the company, but with new management the lab has taken a turn away from the great qualities the company used to represent. There was always a strong emphasis on the positives of further education but the new manager doesn't care about that and now people are afraid of pursuing higher degrees out of fear of school interfering with work and losing their job. It also doesn't matter how minor the issue or mistake is, they will make a big deal out of it and blow it way out of proportion. The changes that are being made due to these issues are making simple things a long process that isn't fixing any problems.

Your feedback is very important. Pursuing further education is also very important – and one of the reasons we offer a tuition reimbursement program at FSNS to employees who pursue degree programs tied to our business. In fact, I’ll bet your LM will share that he plans to pursue classes in the near future as well. So, it seems there may be a bit of a disconnect on this issue. I encourage you to talk with him and/or give me a call to discuss further. Next, processes, policies, standards, customer expectations and needs evolve over time – and hence our business evolves over time as well – and this is inclusive of your lab. Our customers demand consistent, accurate and timely test results – there is really no compromising here. If you have worked with FSNS or in a laboratory/testing business even for a short period of time you understand this. I highly encourage you to actively listen to the requests and changes needed, learn and embrace them and actively engage. In the end, this is all about employee engagement and customer service. At FSNS, we strive to create a culture where our employees are valued and engaged. I hope you take the time to have a discussion with your manager to discuss your concerns or contact me directly to discuss further. Thank you. Bob Cox, SVP HR.

Pros

Not sure if there are any

Cons

I’ve worked here about a week and I’m not going back. I just can’t bring myself to walk through the door. I’ve never had a job that I wanted to quit so badly the day after I was hired. Nobody communicates to each other. My title has changed three times. The hours I was going to work changed(which makes it very difficult for me to show up on time). You can’t expect a single girl with 3 kids to show up at 3 and work all night long. I’m not even sure if I was officially hired. Last I saw was a conditional offer letter with a completely different job title on it. I haven’t been able to get in touch with anyone from management about changing the times I can come in. They do not answer their phones and rarely return voicemails or texts until a day has passed. The little bit of training and shadowing I’ve done has been ridiculous. The boss would literally leave for one to three HOURS after saying he’d be right back to continue orientation. He never did finish what he was presenting. He didn’t have answers to many of my questions. They are disrespectful at best here. I don’t think they’ll even notice that I quit showing up. Nobody ever seemed happy and I heard and saw a lot of complaining, moaning, and cussing. The employees seem overworked, over stressed and burnt out. I wanted to like this job and was very excited, but now want to cry just thinking of going inside.

It is unfortunate to hear your concerns about your new role and the management of this location. We will continue to look into issues brought forward and address them quickly, though I would appreciate you reaching out to me directly so that I can pinpoint which lab. Our goal is to make continuous improvements and create a culture where everyone is appreciated. Bob Cox - SVP, HR

Pros

Some job experience is good, but don't suggest Food Safety Net Services to get yours.

Cons

Very bad place to work. We constantly got belittled by management when things weren't done. They would say you can stat overtime to get it done, but then when we did stay over, mgmt would reverse and yell at us to stop doing it and THEN yell at us again when work wasn't done! Horrible management! When HR was told about this, they took the side of management and told everyone that management knows what they are doing and to do what they say or get fired! Obviously this place isnt good, not, when this location is the worst location of the company. It's conveniently located in the worst part of town and you really don't know when you are going to get robbed by a drug dealer. My boyfriend drove by one day and saw someone selling weed on the street. I think the reason this place sucks is because you can pick up management off the streets without any experience or certification and let them learn as they go. Not really a good practice, i suggest looking into certification of your mgmt and techs which will lead to higher pay rates...oh wait forgot that the CEO is greedy and cheap. Nevermind. The bad things will continue. Management pushed me to the edge when they spoke behind my friend's back and acted like they hadn't done it when confronted. Very unprofessional. Management needs to be fired The only people who want to work here forever are beta males and people who aren't smart enough to find another company.

It is disheartening to hear these comments. While we work hard to create a great culture for our employees. Some of your statements and allegations are concerning and candidly not correct. I hope you will consider giving me or another member of the HR Team a call to talk through your concerns so that we can properly address them. Bob Cox, SVP HR
