Pros

High voluntary turnover gives some job security.

Cons

Incompetent management; regional and area level is out of touch with situation on store level, disproportionate metrics of evaluating performance.

Pros

Salary Package is good, when you break it down to working 48 Hours or less. Most other employees are great people to work and socialize with. Customer interaction can be a fun, fast paced environment makes most days go by quick.

Cons

Much time worked over 50+ hours per week, up to and including 82 hour work weeks. No Holidays off in addition to your regular work week, often 6 day work weeks. Open to Close shifts more than 2 times a week suck! The time allotted to complete tasks is generally unreasonable and the amount of workload at times is way to much. Redundant paperwork, antiquated POS system, antiquated file system, antiquated training.

Pros

You recieve an employee discount for all footlocker stores. You also get to interact with people all day. You also get paid per hour plus 1% commission, which isn't very much. If someone buys a pair of $100 shoes, you only make a dollar commission. They should really consider increasing the commission percentage, which may in turn motivate employees to sell more.

Cons

It's your basic high school job. You get paid minimum wage and you don't get many hours. Also the stock room was a mess, and it was difficult to find shoes for customers. Managers should regulate the stock room and should regulate the employees who are going back there.
