Pros

Working at Foot Locker helps build strong customer service, communication, and sales skills in a fast-paced environment. It also gives great employee discounts, sneaker and fashion knowledge, and experience with teamwork, cash handling, and inventory. The experience looks good on a resume and can help open doors to leadership or other career opportunities.

Cons

Not enough hours No growth

Pros

Some teams are remote, though not sure for how much longer now that they're opening a new NYC HQ

Cons

I cannot stress this enough: Do NOT work in Corporate Communications at Foot Locker. Turnover is insane, and at least four of the jobs in the last year have not been backfilled. The people left to pick up the pieces are not being properly compensated or promoted, and growth is non-existent. Multiple team members (6+) have reported the toxic, hostile, and discriminatory work environment on this team to executive leadership, employee relations, and HR. These reports have been escalated all the way up to top directly and multiple times by multiple people, and ZERO action has been taken.

Love to hear that the culture, training, and benefits stood out positively during your time. Those early experiences can make a huge impact, especially when someone is learning and growing in a new role. Thank you as well for sharing your perspective on leadership and regional differences as well -- your feedback is truly appreciated!
