Run very far away from the Corp Comms team

Pros

Some teams are remote, though not sure for how much longer now that they're opening a new NYC HQ

Cons

I cannot stress this enough: Do NOT work in Corporate Communications at Foot Locker. Turnover is insane, and at least four of the jobs in the last year have not been backfilled. The people left to pick up the pieces are not being properly compensated or promoted, and growth is non-existent. Multiple team members (6+) have reported the toxic, hostile, and discriminatory work environment on this team to executive leadership, employee relations, and HR. These reports have been escalated all the way up to top directly and multiple times by multiple people, and ZERO action has been taken.

Having a strong team in store makes such a difference, especially in a fast paced retail environment. It’s great to hear you’ve been surrounded by people who make the experience more enjoyable! At the same time, we understand how compensation is an important part of the overall experience, and we appreciate you sharing your honest feedback. Thank you so much!

Pros

- Easy - Family Like Staff - If you love shoes, it is easy to sell them - Responsive, Nice Manager

Cons

- Staff can be childish - Limited on Hours - No Commission - Hire anyone, meant to be a early teenage job, not anything past 18

It’s awesome to hear that you had a supportive manager and team, and that your love of sneakers made the job better and easier! That kind of environment can make a huge difference. But we know that hours and scheduling can really shape how sustainable the role feels, so your feedback there is really important and appreciated. Thank you for sharing your experience!!
