Pros

There is room for advancement in most urban areas due to the large number of stores they own. If you are a fan of sports and or sneaker culture employee perks are great. Access to all the newest merchandise and information.

Cons

Pay is not great usually just enough to get by in whatever market you may live in. Management hours are long including multiple 12 hour shifts per week in most locations. Advancement beyond the store level not realistic in most cases and not mentioned for the most part. No buyer training programs, HR development; nothing. Maybe district manager track discussed but opportunities very limited.

Pros

The flexible schedule under normal circumstances is nice. You learn discipline and patience working here. Fringe benefits (discounts, first dibs on shoes, the friendly customers)

Cons

The low pay, the inability of upper level management to relate to the store level needs, the required holidays worked. I also work in a Lady Footlocker, and while the company as a whole is making money, LFL is losing money. I would advise anybody to STAY AWAY from working in one.
