Pros

Data protection story. That's about it. Few remaining talented folks there still, but majority of top talent has left the organization. This is across multiple business units including sales, product management, and channels. Gov team is about the only other pro/what is truly driving the business.

Cons

Ship is sinking fast. Constant change for multiple years. Most recent PE activity and leadership team is probably the lowest point of Forcepoint's tenure. Complete lack of professionalism including leaders who speak poorly for those that have moved on outside of Forcepoint. Zero transparency or communication. Lack of innovation on the product side. Not even close to ready for SASE/Edge deals. Majority of product marketing is fluff and lies; the "platform" is truly not a platform; rather, it is legacy technology meshed together in a haphazard fashion. Company has had a horrendous problem of knowing where to allocate marketing dollars - both in general and from a channel marketing perspective. Spent hundreds of thousands of dollars for a Formula E sponsorship - who in the right mind thought this would drive brand awareness & pipeline? Channel marketing emphasizes the wrong partners & programs for MDF allocation, leading to minimal to zero results. Compensation for folks that move up the ranks is also outrageous. Folks will move from inside to field roles or other areas of the business, but salaries will not match the job they are taking on. Further, and while I cannot 100% confirm this, it did sound as if women employees in this light were treated more unfairly then there male counterparts.

Pros

Great people to work with in the groups I was in. Compensation was quite good.

Cons

Constant direction changes. San Diego office dying after Corp HQ moved to Austin...
