Pros

Mostly good people that work there. Also get to be apart of some exciting AV projects

Cons

1. Pay is abysmal. They base your pay off of cost of living in OKC where the company is HQ. That means that someone living in Denver or some other city with a higher cost of living will be struggling. 2. PTO is terrible. It will take someone 10 plus years to be able to get the standard 3 week PTO that most companies offer. Especially for middle management. 3. If you are a technician you will travel...ALOT. and you will be forced to share a hotel room unless you are a superintendent. 4. Profit Sharing is a joke. Your portion will be around .025% of profit of the project which is not alot. Most other companies offer 10-20x what they do. 5. The overall moral is very bad. Nobody likes working there which is why they cannot keep quality people very long.

Pros

Decent enough work, didn’t have to go overtime too much

Cons

Benefits were really not competitive at all. Vacation days are the same as sick days, bereavement only counts for the most immediate family, and no overtime pay.

Great and rewarding sales career

Pros

I’ve been working for Ford for a few years now as a salesperson and I have to say it is a rewarding career. With technology being almost a necessity, there are a lot of opportunities to win and help prospective companies with their AV infrastructure. There is a bit of a learning curve for salespeople who are not familiar with AV and IT - it took me a while to become familiar with the technology itself. It will take hours after work on weeknights or weekends to study and learn the technology and where Ford AV can help companies, but it is worth it. Ford is also a company that is big on values and principles. It is hard to come across a company that operates this way. The Fords understand that people are the most important asset in the organization. They are big on safety and the quality of our work.

Cons

If you are not an enabler of people, you will have a difficult time. This is not your typical sales job. The work is not done after the sale is made. Ford does a great job providing you with the mentorship, leadership, and resources to execute after the sale is made, but you have to be the leader of your team in order to make sure you exceed your customers expectations.
