-Racist and non-inclusive environment
-Lack of diversity, and inclusion efforts; behaviors are often tolerated instead of addressed
-Leadership issues — Leadership “talks the talk but doesn’t walk the walk,” creating inconsistency between stated values and real practices
-Lack of true coaching and development — Minimal investment in employees’ growth, upskilling, or long-term career paths, if people do not catch on to something you are fired instead of having leadership adjust how information is given, learn on your own approach, you catch on or you don’t, and if you don’t you are written up and pushed out, leadership will ignore you, gossip about you, and push you out of the organization due to performance, once labeled you are on your way out, no chance of redemption
-Poor implementation of leadership principles — They promote “great leadership” philosophies but don’t apply them
-Communication can feel top-down, with limited transparency or accountability
