Pros

Great schedule and pay for college students. Because of the casual employee title, you cannot get forced overtime. Every Sunday and holiday is extra pay, and night shift premium

Cons

Physical labor can get tiring at times, but it is still an easy job. The 12 hour shifts can get tough when working long stretches of days because it leaves you with not much time for anything personal. I ended up just working, eating, and sleeping for most of my winter break that I spent working.

Pros

Being a union shop in the ag industry they must give 2 consecutive days off each week. Other dairies can work you 28 days straight. The insurance is good thanks to the union as well. The pay for the area isn't bad, but is starting to fall behind other manufacturers in the area.

Cons

Lack of training makes many things more difficult than they need to be. The scheduling is chaotic at best. If staffing is not where it needs to be they can force a person to work up to 4 hours of overtime. Over all moral is very low and upper management is a joke from a high school drama, and hold a severely low standard of professionalism.

Pros

Pay and benefits are nice, some good people work there.

Cons

Very physical, repetitive work, 12 hour shifts. If you're new you could be forced to work 18 hour shifts, several days in a row. Some work areas are very warm, some very cold. Crews are very competitive and quick to throw someone under the bus.
