Great for Mission-Oriented People Who Like a Challenge

Pros

The people at this company are simultaneously the smartest and most humble group I've had the pleasure of working with. We're tackling a very difficult problem and the sense of unity and teamwork within the company is incredible. There's a lot of hard work to do, but it feels like we're all in it together. If you're a high performer who likes a challenge and working on something that has a very real impact on society this is a great place to be.

Cons

There's a lot of change happening and we're moving very quickly, so that leads to miscommunications at times. Since the company is so new we're often in uncharted territory and the exec team has to react. Sometimes that means we don't get much of a heads up, but, I also think this is pretty typical for a startup (this is my 3rd).

Pros

The interview and onboarding process was amazing. They really valued my time as a candidate and kept everything moving. Once hired, everyone at the company is always willing to help and everyone is excited for the future.

Cons

There are a lot of positive changes occurring, but it can mean that things can be confusing.

Such a special place to build your career and have an impact

Pros

- work with a diverse team of people who are mission-driven, brilliant, and compassionate - managers who are truly invested in your career goals and development, as well as personal well being - senior leadership is measured, deliberate, and transparent in their decision making - unlimited PTO policy; unlike other companies, people are actually encouraged to use their PTO, and are fully off from work when they've taken time off - even as the company grows, many of the fun aspects of "startup culture" remain (relatively flat communication structure, agile organization, fast-moving)

Cons

- fast-pace work environment; we set ambitious goals and timelines. Even during the more hectic sprints though, I have felt very supported from my managers and teammates
