As my first job out of college, I couldn't ask for more in terms of growth. I was able to grow from a product marketing/conversion optimization role to a product management role in a year. As someone who didn't come from an engineering background in college, having the company support me to take a front-end dev class helped me grow into this role. There's a lot of ownership and it always feels like you're personally adding to the bottom line. The culture is one which pushes you to learn, grow, and excel. The management encourages you to fail fast to learn from mistakes. Also great work-life balance and camaraderie among co-workers! We're growing fast - in my two years - we've gone from 8 to 17!
Cons
This is not necessarily a con - but you definitely need to be a gritty person to excel at a small, face-paced company. There's help if you need it from management and your coworkers, but you need to be the type of person who knows how to google before you ask people for an answer every time.
- Management cares a lot about employees' professional development
- Strong focus on "lean" startup principles, which allows for lots of innovative experimentations
- A work culture that prioritizes thoughtfulness and togetherness, as opposed to selfish leadership
Cons
- To be real, there is nothing unpleasant or negative about working at FormSwift
