Pros

The work was straightforward and easy enough! I loved my time there as it was a good environment and my manager at the time was easy to work with and very understanding.

Cons

No reasons for me. Didn't get too many weekends off but it was due to low staffing. Even then, I didn't mind.

Pros

- Excellent Staff who are balanced between friendly and professional - Great training and learning development aid. - Good amount of hours and shifts were given (casual worker + university student) - Flexible about work conditions (such as sudden illness/catastrophe and also the hours you want to work each month).

Cons

- Do not get paid extra for opening and closing - Base rate payment may not be enough for everyone.

Pros

Pay was great. I started as an associate at $9.25 and got a raise within about 5 months to $9.50 then started as a keyholder at $13. I always found the job to be fun. There's always something to do and I loved being a manager and getting to lead my team. My team was more like a family to me than just coworkers.

Cons

Upper management tends to have favorites. It was very difficult for me to get promoted, even with several managers advocating for me to be interviewed for an open keyholder position they still chose to hire someone from outside the company. Hours are not great. As an associate sometimes I would get only 10 hours in a week and as a keyholder I was "guarenteed" 30 hours but a lot of times was scheduled less than 25. Fossil employee's hours are based off of their sales for the week, but there are too many employees in one location and they do not receive commission, so that is a lot to ask of them.
