Pros

It is a large company with a lot of opportunities to move around. You can meet people from all over the world.

Cons

Production workers are treated like numbers not people. The way that you see the birds being treated on the videos in the news with employees hitting birds is equivalent to the way management treats their employees with words. Safety comes second when it comes to meeting your orders. The only people that are able to stay are people with little to no education or are not from the United States. The hours are long and you do not have an outside life. If you have kids plan on not watching them grow up. There is a huge power struggle for upper management and it gets taken out on direct supervisors and the production workers. The word "team" is not known there. It is more about pointing fingers and working against each other. The plant H/R is a complete joke and works completely against the employee. The union is needed there. H/R will do whatever it takes to take the supervisors side of the situation. Their lack of knowledge has allowed a lot of good employees to leave the company.

Being a privately-owned family company, this is a very human place to work. The company ensures employees have everything they need to be successful. The company has excellent benefits, especially retirement plans. The company is very supportive of continuing education. It is a very friendly place to work.

Cons

As with any company, sometimes change takes a while to happen.
