Generally inattentive management (with some exceptions) Very low wage growth, if any Minimal potential for advancement beyond initial role, will generally hire from outside for new positions, esp low/middle management Prolific double-standards Absolute lack of consistency with decision making Divisive arrogance perpetuated by those who "know" and those who don't, regardless of circumstances -- "Have's and have-not's" is a distinct feeling.
