Large network of colleagues with a decent bit of experience in their subdomains

Cons

Pay is well below market rate Working hours are bad No path towards promotion Treated like second class citizen while working for clients Raises don’t track with inflation, let alone tracking your increased value as an employee each year. They will use shady tactics to nickle and dime you when it comes to pay. You have no career future here. Get out asap

[Scamming] Misleading role definition and below-market compensation

Pros: 1. Exposure to big-name clients.

Cons

Cons: 1. Lack of transparency in hiring process. The role was initially communicated as Senior Data Scientist, then changed to Data Scientist without explanation. Even interview emails mentioned Senior, but the official offer and title were downgraded. Why?? 2. Compensation offered was ~$120k base, far below market median on the East Coast (~$130k+) and also below my current pay of $135k base + bonus. 3. Feels like they want senior-level talent but don’t want to pay or title it accordingly. 4. Unofficial job descriptions shared, no proper listing on their careers site. 5. Changed my resume internally and mentioned extra resume points I never worked on. Is this legal? I was facing curve-balls during interview.
