Pros

Pay is good compared to other universities, and professors are friendly providing a welcoming collegial atmosphere.

Cons

FSU is a state school and subject to budget cuts and regulations. No healthcare for adjunct teachers even though they may work 20 hours a week or more! Parking is difficult. Facilities old and in need of updating.

Cons

Salary is low but is competitive with other institutions. I don't teach for the money.
