Great, if you're a Partner

Pros

Good culture with lots of nice to people to work with on the lower ranks. Brian Kreischer, Managing Partner, is phenomenal, and a great leader.

Cons

Mediocre benefits. No upside as a non-Partner. Comp is under-market. Limited transparency and appreciation from Partners. Good for a few years as a staffer, but becomes less rewarding and worthwhile as one advances their career. Better opportunities elsewhere, particularly in the Bay Area.

Pros

Good culture, mostly good people. Great place to start your accounting career. Lots of room to grow.

Cons

Long hours, management forgets about the new staff and relies on staff to figure it out themselves.

Fantastic Company

Pros

- Plenty of opportunities for growth - the freedom to drive your career path - compensation and benefits above market - fun, loving environment - partners are fantastic - social events (end of busy season, holiday parties) exceed all other companies - Brian Kreischer - the managing partner - fantastic, smart individual that welcomes input from all levels and departments

Cons

- smaller firm so you may work with the same staff/managers/partners throughout the year - mandatory rotation through tax for incoming associates (could be a pro for some) - summer season work can be very boring for new audit senior associates who are scheduled on 401k audits (again this may be a pro for some) - slower promotion track as compared to competitors
