Pros

Free snacks and coffee. Nice facilities.

Cons

Environment does not value family. I know of 2 people that were replaced as soon as their FMLA ran out. Lack of flexibility. Expect to be in your seat and working at 8:00 am or you will be considered "late." The overall morale varies greatly by department. No room for advancement or promotion unless you've been there 15+ years and/or you are a management favorite. Slow to implement new ideas/strategies and not willing to hear opinions.

Pros

Good health insurance - but you pay for it. Lots of opportunity for growth if you count that as being thrown into areas where you have no experience with deadlines. Good 401K matching. Donuts and fruit in the break room 5 days a week, for free.

Cons

Does not consider the employee's interests in giving new assignments. The company has worked for years to make benefits and salaries average. Was a great place to work 10 years ago. Training is not given pursuant to new expectations. Learn it on the fly, don't ask anyone for help. Little opportunity for advancement, same IT supervisors for the last 15 years. Poor communication of expectations relative to how to advance to the next level. Reviews are a game controlled by HR - no department can have everyone be great (even if they are) Lots of expected over time if the project is behind. If you are interviewing, ask lots of questions, don't take the job unless you are really good at what they are asking you to do. Don't think you can fake it until you make it.

Pros

It is a job, nice corp offices, nice landscaping, beautiful parking lot and rest rooms.

Cons

Too many meetings, management is so concerned about their agency partners they write high risk poor business and don't care. People that don't drink the cool aid made from the Cass River are not accepted. Half the corporate office are related, if your not part of the sick family, you will never be! They take advantage of people with little in the way of promotional opportunities, dead end job.
