Pros

Freelancing pays more per hour than a salary, allows me to set my own schedule and have the freedom to work as much or as little as I want.

Cons

It's a lot of work. You have to find your own clients, do your own accounting, pay for your own insurance, do your own taxes. It can be very stressful when work is too slow and when work is too busy. There is no paid time off. It's a lot of effort for the freedom of running your own business. It's worth it, but it's not easy.
