Pros

Corporate light atmosphere. There are some very smart and talented people.

Cons

It's a family run business and slow to adopt change and be innovative.

Pros

Glassdoor requires a twenty word entry for this portion of the review. There are only a words to go, done.

Cons

Freeman Companies recruited me as a project manager on the basis that they were currently 90-100% billable. However, there was nearly no work scheduled, and all of the past projects have been closed out. The communication with my manager was pathetic, he would not speak to me, unless we were in meetings. I would be sitting next to him and he would send me an email. In my opinion, my manager also wanted to run my department, and never wanted me to work there in the first place. So, for the last two months of my employment, management would tell me it was my fault for the lack of work, and each day could be my last. The majority of my employment ended up being sales, including cold calling. It would be a tough sale due to the 30-40% higher bill rates than the completion. At the end, I did land a large client for the whole company. However, the project did not start soon enough to increase my billable hours.

Pros

Company has a great benefits package and good retirement.

Cons

The upper management, especially in the Graphics department, is lacking in any type of management skills or personable skills what so ever. Their only concern is their salary and bonus. Too much overtime! When you want employees to do OVERTIME. Management SHOULD work overtime TOO!!!!!! Not expect everyone else to jump in while taking a full weekend off or even taking extra time while making it MANDATORY for everyone else to work. it is better for moral when management steps in to help too! Nothing will change since nobody want to make changes to a broken system since the work gets done anyway. Upper management doesn't really care about the moral of the little people, they only care about their bottom line.
