Pros

Good money for the work, great benefit package, awesome amount of PTO

Cons

Way too many hours when a show is taking place. Your home life/family always comes 2nd when a show is going on. 18 hour days/20 day stretches working in 100 degree convention center with 30 minute breaks is sometime too much! Employee morale is very low. No bonus structure or way to make more money.

Pros

Good benefits. ESOP program with this company is attractive if you stay there long enough. Some perks from other companies in the industry: sporting event tickets, concert tickets, etc.

Cons

Company on the Good Ole' Boy system. You need to hang out with the right group to advance in the branch. Many family groups work here so they have each others backs and they tend to get good positions and not be held as accountable as the average employee. You don't really have an option to move up to the corporate side. This company takes the strategy to buy out the competition so most of the VPs and Execs are either long time Freeman family friends or were part of a buyout deal to keep them on as an exec.

Stable but stale.

Pros

Freeman is a stable company. There are plenty of entry-level positions and branches across the US. The benefits package is competitive.

Cons

Freeman is not a meritocracy. There are no clear career paths or development plans. Management does not communicate well with employees.
