Lack of opportunity to explore the potential, leave approval difficult, Remuneration not competitive with market, No advance arrangement for Business travels, employees treated like Slaves, Long and weekend working hours.

Pros

Culture of entrepreneurship, delegated responsibilities and trust. Family environment , but still professional. It is a great place to work - although not flamboyant. Leadership is a guiding principle and the company normally lives by the principles. Ethical outlook and always compliant. Due to conservatism built into the DNA, the company is a safe financial bet. Long term orientation in the decisions.

Cons

Unstructured HR policies - so if you are looking at a 'career path' you can forget it. No structured training / skill development initiatives. Low risk apetite especially in new ventures. The norm is to go slow, but be sure. This can be quite frustrating. Not a class leader when it comes to compensation
