Pros

The values of the company include having a positive attitude, doing thing right the first time, and treating one another with respect. The best value is putting the customer first. No matter where you work having these as values makes for a good work environment, and a customer that is going to feel the difference with the good customer service Frontier will give. Frontier prides itself in having a work force that is 100% United States based. You won't call customer service and be routed to a call center in India.

Cons

Frontier services the more rural areas of America. This means that many times the customers may not live right next to each other. The cost and time of running and repairing wires in more rural areas is greater when there aren't as many customers per mile paying for service that would help pay for the cost. Staying competitive is tough, especially with the population using the phone lines for phone calls less and using the phone lines for TV and High Speed Internet services more. Using phone lines to provide TV and High Speed Internet has a cost associated with making the wires TV and High Speed Internet ready. This cost needs to be offset by the number of customers serviced. Overcoming this obstacle in a rural community is going to be the key to Frontier staying in business. I don't believe that Frontier will be hiring any collections representatives in the Carmel Indiana area in the future because they inherited a work force that gets paid more than others. The same job can be done for less employee cost from another area of the United States.
