Pros

It's a job that pays money.

Cons

It's not a great job, and it pays a minimal amount of money and they lack in giving raises. No incentive to do good work. Never hear anything positive from upper management. Have worked for the company 5+ years and have seen one small raise, and it's not looking good for a raise in the future. The worse part is you can be one of the hardest workers for the company and get no respect or raise no matter how much you know and learn. You can watch new employees come in and see them making $2+ more than you and do much less, if any, work. The company seems to have a real issue with getting rid of the employees who do nothing, and they're quick to point the finger at someone who occasionally speaks up about how unfair the company is to it's employees. You can work your ass off for Fujitsu, but it will be a waste of your time and effort as it wont get you anywhere within the company, and it sure as hell wont get you more money in your paycheck. I'd recommend this job to you if you can't find anything else, but I wouldn't plan on making it a permanent job, but make it more of a stepping stone until you can find something better. Engineers in the company are some of the most unintelligent people I have met with the title "Engineer" and usually make the technicians do all of the building of assembly lines, or they will take 6 or more months to cut out a single board for the assembly line. Plenty of money is wasted on people who do absolutely nothing. If they could remove the leeches and give that extra cash to the hard workers they wouldn't really be missing out on production and they'd probably see an increase in quality and quantity with the non workers out of the way.

Pros

They make some great products and do have a very good IT structure in place. They cover the globe and can be very competitive in a cut throat business world.

Cons

Big company and very hard to push though changes. They have a culture that needs to change, or they will lose some very good employees

Pros

Having Duncan Tait at the helm is paying dividends - he walks the walk and has been instrumental at introducing some positive changes: he's also well respected. Because of its Japanese heritage, the company is more focused on longer term outcomes rather than short term wins. I feel valued and respected

Cons

It is still not as innovative as it could be. Some areas of the business including delivery teams hinge around capabilities of a few good individuals to deliver. The way it has handled staff consultation on key issues is inconsistent and morale has suffered in some areas but i suspect this is no different to similar organisations
