Pros

Good Work Life Balance - Though policies have changed recently, but still the company is lenient on WFH policies. Employee satisfaction programs. Good atmosphere & campus Easily accessible senior management Will be rewarded as a good performer

Cons

Lack of focus at Sr. management level. Business/Project Opportunities come at random. There is no stability on ongoing/long running projects. If you get stuck up in the wrong project at the wrong time, it would get very hard to escape the situations. The concept of low bench is in place now and you might be asked to work on a different skillset, if the opportunities are not there on your skillset and this is a mandate, unless you try to convince the Resourcing team that you cannot work. Continuous 3 rejections on projects and you are kicked out.

Pros

You get to work on advanced technology (ROADM, OTN, Data services). You have some latitude in how you execute your work. Acceptance of new process ideas.

Cons

Overtime is expected for some disciplines. Engineering/planning are very silo'd. No clear communications what the customer is really looking for in a product. Very political; some managers/directors very protective of their turf, at times to the detriment of the company.
