      Unprofessional Management in unix team of Fujitsu

      no pros from my perspective.

      Cons

      1. management of unix team does not have any experience of unix. They all come from windows background. Thus, they don't understand unix at all. Ironically, they are appointed as manager of unix team. 2. They never care about of employee's feeling. They just order you to do something all the time and never discuss with you. 3. around 15 enginners resigned during 18 months. the managers do not attribute to incompetency of their management rather than other factors.

      Limited contracts in South East means little opportunity for promotion or secondment No real information about positions on "the bench", ie, how long one can remain "benched" for without redundancy

      For the self-directed there are many opportunities to get things done and learn.

      Cons

      Management is wholly disconnected from the folks in the field. After years of losing money and personnel cuts, the same management team is in place.
