      Make sure you are able to work with clients, and the assignments are aligned with your career path.

      Cons

      Don't expect much from management. Networking is key and be proactive in locating your next assignment.

      Pay is terrible, morale is awful, nobody wants to be here anymore. Everyone I know is looking for a new job. We do not feel valued and feel down trodden and used much of the time.

      Pros

      The only reason would be if you were unemployed, had no other current opportunities, and need the paycheck.

      Cons

      You are not working at a consulting firm, you are working for a temp/staff augmentation firm and you will be laid off 15 seconds after they can no longer bill others for hours of your life. Do not fall for any of their recruiter's lies that they are 'project-based'. They are a body shop, and when they cannot bill a client for your time, your options are very limited and it would be an excellent time to brush up the resume and get it out there. There is no career path per se, and even the managers I had when I was there (2002-2007) have moved on to other opportunities.
