Pros

Amazing, highly skilled coworkers & team members.

Cons

No accountability on leadership or the sales team. They claim to be in your corner, but has no problem throwing a current or ex-employees under the bus when there is an issue with a client/project. Leadership expects trust and respect but does not give it back to their staff. Very cultish mindset put forth by management. Forced us to listen Christian based videos/books without considering everyones viewpoints on religion. Management claims to have a high set of core values/morals, but do not practice what they preach-especially behind closed doors and out of range of the majority of the staff to hear. Management is OK with stealing other companies website designs and see no issue with it. They expect you to take on more tasks than you can handle or accomplish, then penalize staff members when they cannot achieve every goal. They claim they provide growth opportunities, but if you do not follow the same mindset, have the same viewpoints, or voice an opposing opinion, you are "not fit to be a leader". They focus on efficiency and not quality in their products/websites, Full Panel especially. They are OK with launching a half-done or broken project just to get "annoying clients out the door", then charge those clients to fix their website when they notice the issue. They makes unrealistic promises to their prospective clients and would give them extreme discounts to convince them to work with them. As a result the project would go over budget because of the unrealistic promises made, and the staff member(s) working on it would be penalized. Raises were rare no matter your performance/positive evaluations.

Full Media isn't easy

Pros

I came to Full Media at a pivotal point in my career - I had done my first few just-out-of-college jobs and I had finally gotten a grip on what I really valued in a career. I worked for organizations with ineffective leaders, organizations where decisions were made for me and passed down, and organizations with great leaders. One of the things that appealed most to me about Full Media was that I was interested in marketing, but I had little previous experience and my degree was unrelated. Full Media has an extensive training program to help you become an expert in Internet marketing - they not only train you on skills but also empower to master strategy. You'll find a lot of guidance and training here, but you will not find hand-holding. You will work with high value clients immediately and be given opportunities to get involved at many different levels of the company with a variety of initiatives. Additionally, Full Media has made a commitment in leadership development, holding each of its employees to a high standard of ownership for both their work and their contribution. Every member of the team is involved in ongoing leadership development training and mentorship, whether or not their career path is focused on management. This is because every team member has the ability to contribute to the long-term strategy of the company. We are a small company, so we make tough decisions and sacrifices every day, but we want every person at Full Media to have stake in its success and an opportunity to contribute. That's the reason why I believe Full Media isn't easy - sometimes you have to make decisions at Full Media for the entire company, not just decisions that help further you. You are often not rewarded with new title or a crazy salary (although Full Media does invest as much profit as it is able back in its employees.) The value of working at Full Media is learning how to run a small business, leading and encouraging others, discovering your strengths and how you can bring them to bear for the success of a company, and finding better ways to help your clients' grow their businesses. It is also incredibly rare to find a leadership team that is as transparent and equitable about the decision-making process than Full Media. They truly make sacrifices for others, absorbing any hardships that they can first before passing those onto the team. They listen to feedback and work to do better. And whenever people have really great ideas, they let people run with them and they empower others to chart the course. Of course, there are moments of frustration and disappointment. We're all humans here. I am a skeptic too - I don't drink the kool-aid on day one. I found Full Media's friendly culture and promises that anyone can speak up to be over-the-top at first too. But then, in the couple of years that I have been at Full Media, any issue that I have brought up with the leadership has been taken seriously and that individual was expected to act on my feedback. There are times whenever a leader doesn't live up to your expectations, but in my experience at Full Media, their promises aren't empty and they really are trying to make the best decisions for the team members who rely on the company for their livelihood. If you are a challenge and growth-oriented person that is looking for a job that's more than just a job, where the growth opportunities go way beyond benefits, salary and title, where you truly get mentorship in what can make you a better employee and leader, and where you can sharpen your business acumen and ability to run an organization, Full Media is for you. You just have to be willing to give others grace, speak up whenever you have an idea or a concern, and reflect on your weaknesses and where you need support to improve.

Cons

The salary and benefits are definitely reasonable and you have the ability to save and live well, but Full Media is not the place to come to if you want to get rich quick. You may have to redefine how you view growth as the company is changes frequently and redefines roles and its strategy to meet the demands of the market. You get to experience some of the stress of running a small business and being an entrepreneur - it's a difficult job to just leave at the door and not keep thinking about whenever you go home!

Pros

Discounted insurance rates, work from home option, flexible hours, amazing colleagues, great stepping stone to learn industry,

Cons

No accountability for management, no career advancement (regardless of what they say), compensation below typical range for skills (purposely hires people out of college to keep pay low, and have to threaten quitting or have someone fired in order to get a small raise), disjointed offices, cult like culture, 1/2 of company in "management roles", up-tight culture, unprofitable, not a reliable career path, constantly given additional responsibilities without title or compensation, this company acts and thinks they are Google or Moz, copies and steals others ideas / designs, makes promises to clients that are unrealistic, repeatedly does free work for clients, focus is on efficiency and not quality, management cliches (either their pet or they intentionally pushed you out). This company didn't feel like a career, but a live version of "Survivor", you never knew who would be voted off the island.
