      Miserable experience teaching in Fulton County high school

      Pros

      The other teachers are amazing. Intelligent, dedicated, hardworking. The money isn't too bad. Teachers got a one time bonus last year.

      Cons

      The administration at my school was terrible. They lost 30+ teachers at the end of the year. Discipline was never handled by certain administrators. Morale was incredibly low. Granted, some Fulton County schools are good places to be, but make sure you talk to teachers who work in them before you sign a contract to make sure you avoid the bad apples!

      At least I have a job.

      No pay raise for the past five years!!! New evaluation formula and higher expectations on teachers than on the students.

      Great colleagues, if you can find the time to commiserate; overall good demographic of kids and parents.

      GA is a 'right to work' state, and the HR department prides themselves on being gangster thugs.
