Pros

Work from home Laptop/ wfh set up

Cons

Where do I begin? Discrimination, nepotism, and mediocrity are rampant at Fundrise. If you care about your career progression and mental health, I’d encourage you to look elsewhere. “Management” is laughable as it is apparent that people are promoted prematurely. The other reviews further reiterate this sentiment. If you’re looking for management that is supportive of your ambitions, concerned about your development, and ACTUALLY intelligent (aka not simply reading from a script for 8 hours a day), look elsewhere. Fundrise creates the appearance of growth opportunities when, in actuality, you’ll just assume a new title with even more remedial tasks. I, unfortunately, wish I had a better experience at this place. They’ll sell you dreams and deliver on nothing. There is no culture at Fundrise unless you think wearing for T-shirts and baseball caps on all-hands meetings is cool. Lastly, and probably most importantly— as a person of color, I faced micro-aggressions that I didn’t dare contacting HR about. HR was basically non-existent and it was clear they’d favor management. HR is not your friend! If you are a person of color, be forewarned— this is not the place for you. You’ll be overlooked, undermined, overworked, and mistreated. The proof is in the pudding; barely anyone stays at this place for more than a few years and this is for good reason. People are also very aware that Fundrise is contributing to the housing crisis. You can’t just wiggle your way out of that :) Leaving Fundrise was the best thing I could’ve done for myself. I encourage anyone genuinely considering employment here to run in the other direction.

Pros

1. The benefits 2.Unlimited PTO 3. Remote Only 4. The concept of the app

Cons

1. Lack of Pay Transparency (we all don’t get paid the same even if we have the same title. Let that sink in) 2. Low Pay for what they expect you to do.These people expect you to work hard and get paid very little and be okay because you are getting “equity” 3. There is “diversity” no inclusion. Not a person of color in sight in their C Suite and they don’t seem to promote POC a lot at all. 4. Management is atrocious. Seriously. And it starts at the top with Ben and Brandon. Management is disrespecTful to employees. 5. Unorganized. No internal software to keep track of data. 6. Growth review tells you to scale 100% of what you did the year before. Bonus time comes, guess what, you barely got $$$ to cover taxes.
