Best Place I Have Ever Worked

Pros

I've been an employee of Future US for a combined 10 years. When Future US came calling a few years ago I jumped at the chance to work there again. Why? In my opinion, Future US is the land of opportunity. It is a place you wear many hats. You learn a great deal in a short amount of time. As long as you are a contributor, you are given the freedom to create a "custom" role for yourself. At Future US you are not just a cog in the wheel. You see the impact of your decisions almost immediately. While it has taken Future US several years to transition the business from print to digital, the company now has forward thinking global CEOs who are steering the ship into the next decade with innovative ideas and an aim to be a major player in tech/games. Additionally, small things make a difference at Future. The people are young, innovative, motivated, energetic and kind. The benefits are fantastic. Free transportation and breakfast. Work from home. Great vacation. Fun company outings. etc. I would definitely encourage anyone wanting to round out their resume to work at Future US. It is, by far, the best place I have ever worked.

Cons

I would say the best thing about Future US is that people rarely leave. I would also say the worst thing about Future US is that people rarely leave making upward mobility difficult at times. If you are not interested in a "get your hands dirty and wear a ton of hats" role then don't bother to apply!

Pros

Casual, flexible atmosphere conducive to creativity Previous management was slow to transition from legacy media and out-of-date business practices, but the people in charge now seem to know what's up and are taking us in the right direction The US business is built on massive brands and platforms but is small in terms of personnel, so there is ample opportunity for individuals to have an impact, make a difference, and advance Very flexible in terms of hours, working from home, and scheduling time off

Cons

Although Future has turned a corner and is making great strides in the right direction, it's still a company in transition so some things are being figured out as we go. This isn't so much a critique as an unavoidable fact for a company that's turning things around. Benefits used to be better, although I'm not sure how today's package stacks up to what other companies normally offer
