Pros

- Opportunities for commission - Occasional drinks/food/events - Feels good to be part of something bigger when attending team-wide meetings

Cons

- Low pay; not a competitive graduate salary as advertised - Promises unfulfilled; where they say they will answer queries post redundancy, you receive the same short script they gave you on the day - No formal training as a graduate, unless you take on the extra work of an eighteen-month apprenticeship - Bad office culture; no one making calls on the sales floor is demotivating and doesn't inspire work

Pros

When the business was a head count of 800 a few years ago, opportunities were aplenty. That immediately got cut each time a new business was bought out and taken over.

Cons

US takeover with latest CEO and friends. Now has a US politically strategised approach to managing the business. Nonexistent role progression, with opportunities only awarded through favouritism and undermining access to role progression among peers. No profit pool, doesn’t look like we’ll see it return, expect a blanket salary increase of a few %, only to catch up on the below market pay average for roles, with the continued below inflation match.
