Pros

As someone who has worked at other large tech corporations in the past, I am proud to say that I am a member of the Futurex family for many reasons. Futurex has provided me opportunities to utilize my skill set in ways that progress my personal and professional growth rapidly. In comparison to other companies’ I have worked for, Futurex has by far surpassed both the numbers of opportunities given to me, and the speed at which they have been presented. You definitely still need to earn it, but other companies I’ve been with have glass ceilings which limit your rate of growth – Futurex is not only absent of this barrier, but also encourages growth to a considerable degree. Some of the tangibles: - Compensation above market value for similar position - Company-sponsored gym membership - Company-sponsored health, dental, and life insurance - 401K with employer matched contributions - Plenty of amenities on campus including games, sports courts, swimming pool, nature trail, etc. - Frequent on-campus and off-campus company-sponsored events - Comfortable work environment with an easy commute Some of the intangibles: - Lots of room for career growth, with advancement directly in your control. Promotions are directly correlated with performance and contributions to the team - Work is challenging, interesting, and rewarding, even to a point in which it is fun for me. I enjoy tackling new and different opportunities and I get to surround myself with these on a daily basis - Motivating colleagues which promote team work and innovation - Exposure to technologies and business networks not typically available to similar position at other companies

Cons

I’ve been with the company for several years now, and the atmosphere, my colleagues, and the type of work I’m involved with suits my personal and professional needs perfectly. As another post suggests, talent and work ethic will take you a long way at Futurex. With that said, Futurex is not for everyone, although not particularly a con for me, I can see that this would be a con for individuals who are looking to put in a less exciting 8 to 5. Futurex fosters and rewards individuals who seek to raise the bar. This may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for me it’s a tailored fit. Sometimes the size of a particular project may seem daunting, but I would rather be challenged and have the opportunities to apply my knowledge instead of being bored.
