Pros

Non-profit company in the healthcare payer sector and have stability over the course of several decades. Serves federal employees and likely to be around for quite some time.

Cons

Business processes very immature and inefficient, almost to the point of waste. Things don't happen quickly, including organizational change. The organization has a bad case of "this is how we've always done it".

Pros

Pretty flexible when it came to taking time off and taking launches/breaks when you want and what not.

Cons

If you are considering working for this company beware the egos of the entrenched employees cross into unprofessional territory. Other companies in the KC area have a better work culture and your work will be appreciate better.
