Pros

One of the best things about this organization is the people you get to work with daily. Truly talented individuals.

Cons

What once felt like an entrepreneurial environment has been replaced by senior leadership where every move is being watched and micromanaged. Very disappointing. Plus, whenever there is a reorg, you will get more work, more windshield time, more time away from your family, and no more pay. Something to be aware of as this industry evolves with changing trends and pressure to perform.

Pros

* Historically, a company people were genuinely proud to work for—strong culture, clear values, and a sense of loyalty *I could have seen myself building a long-term career here and often spoke highly of the company to others *Strong early-career development and brand recognition

Cons

*Erosion of trust driven by abrupt, poorly communicated decisions *5-day in-office mandate for some offices rolled out with ~2 months notice, removing autonomy employees previously had, adding unnecessary strain to already demanding roles, and significantly disrupting employees’ day-to-day lives *Parental leave benefits were significantly reduced in a way that feels misaligned with the culture and “family-owned” values the company has historically emphasized. This change has been a meaningful source of frustration and disappointment for many employees *Poor communication on major changes—including benefits and office policy updates, which were not consistently or transparently shared *Employee feedback does not appear to be meaningfully incorporated into decision-making, even when concerns are raised through formal channels * The culture has shifted dramatically. What used to feel fun and energizing now feels rigid and overly monitored, with less trust and autonomy than before *As a result, the company risks losing strong, previously loyal employees and becoming less competitive in attracting new talent

Pros

High-Caliber Talent: The workforce is comprised of highly motivated, capable, and efficient professionals. It is a privilege to work alongside people who are so driven and skilled. Historical Support: Traditionally, this has been an environment where employees felt championed and trusted to own their results. Sales Autonomy (Historically): The roles were designed with the flexibility needed to succeed in a field-based sales environment.

Cons

Cultural Shift: Over the past year, there has been a noticeable decline in the sense of trust between leadership and staff. The environment has moved from one of empowerment to one that feels more restrictive and scrutinized. Return-to-Office Policy: The recent strict RTO mandate feels counter-intuitive for a sales-heavy region. For local teams who spend significant time in the field, this policy adds unnecessary friction and reduces the very flexibility that once made us successful. Declining Benefits: Recent reductions in maternity and fertility benefits are disappointing. These changes make it harder for the company to remain competitive in attracting and retaining diverse, long-term talent. Gallo is not competitive against the competition for parental leave in the CPG industry, specifically Adult Bev (such as Suntory, Diageo, Anheuser Busch, Pernod, Miller, Constellation, Deutsch, and SGWS to name a few).
