Pros

They hire recent college grads with no experience.

Cons

Management will purposely try to humiliate you in front of others, question you during meetings, and persisting if they see you are nervous. I've never ever been treated so badly by an employer. When I first started working there I found out about the high turnover, but I decided to stay. The pay is terrible. Recruiters make about 28k with some commission and the workload is unbearable. The cheapness at this place is ridiculous, you can't have new paper, you have to constantly use used paper. You can barely get any supplies for yourself. And the office seating arrangement is strange, you sit RIGHT NEXT to your manager and others, practically touching elbows. Health insurance is VERY expensive, and there's absolutely no work/life balance whatsoever. They want you in the office for NINE hours, they tell you you can have a one hour lunch break but that's impossible with the workload. And the most absurd thing of all: they make you memorize their motto which is like 100 words and you have you write it down by memorization in your first couple of weeks there.

Pros

Paid decent salary, travel reimbursement

Cons

More ‘supervision’ of contractors than any other company I’ve worked for. Almost a feeling of distrust. No telecommuting, they micromanage you filling out your timesheet everyday, even if it’s not time yet to submit it. They check your timesheet everyday, and will fire you if they have to remind you a certain number of times to enter your hours. Leave requests and other issues are to be sent to not only your supervisor, but also the GAPSI manager for approval. I have never seen so much monitoring and micromanaging of contractors. Minimal PTO (10 days a year) and 3! days a year of sick leave. Expensive health insurance. Overall poor benefits package.

Pros

The field staff is excellent to include the recruiters, HR Department, and receptionist. My program manager was also excellent, tentative, helpful, visited regularly, and was a great asset to the company. If they continue to hire people who care about their employees, they will go far.

Cons

The company is all about MONEY. And upper management is awful as they have no work-life balance (expect the same from their employees), are stuck in their ways of GAPSI, and give exceptions to employees they like, and are sneaky. They are always up to something and continue to unveil problems but do nothing about problems. They let the bad employees get away with things. The upper management needs to move on from GAP Solutions and let their employees enjoy their lives.
