Pros

Benefits are OKAY. 401k is GREAT! Time off is GREAT. Training is OKAY but has room for good improvement and was improving when I left. Work to home life is pretty decent most of the time. I support the actual COO - Greg C. I have never even seen Ron Duncan in the past 4 years.

Cons

Too many VP's with no direct reports, the good ole boy club is holding the network back. Uninformed senior management is allowing the network to falter more and more each day. Ignored suggestions from competent people happen daily. The lack of preventative maintenance on your sites, a general lack of caring by a lot of your more tenured employees - all of this leads to a network that isn't reliable and a staff that can't maintain it.

Pros

For the most part, the people that work there are great. There are some opportunities to advance and you can always move from one part of the company to the next. GCI benefits are among the best in Alaska and Human Resources are always there for you when you need it.

Cons

Upper management does not respect representatives enough and seem to not really care. It's always about the numbers instead of customer service. For example, the customer is always taken care of when a problem arises. However, if the representative was properly trained the problem would have not existed. The employees are not given much time off as well.

Pros

Does have some good benefits

Cons

You will be worked into the ground and still asked to work harder The pay sucks The nepotism is real They manage like its still pre-2000's, and have not kept up with the times This company is LOATHED by Alaskans for good reason. Work Life balance does not exist. Only work, all the time, no exceptions.
