Pros

Good pay, nice people to work with, lots of interns so easy to find things to do on the weekends. The intern newsletter is a good way to highlight events and meet new people.

Cons

Managers sometimes don't know what to do with you. Have had other interns talk about their managers being on long-term leave or vacation when they arrived on their first day.

Pros

- You have full control of your time, flex-time is available, overtime is always paid. - Never missed a payment, excellent payroll management. - Working from home is possible, but not all of the time, wish it was. - Trainings all the time, self learning is encouraged. - Respectful counterparts, global teams. - Dress code is very relaxed.

Cons

- IT managers at all levels are Mechanical, Aeronautical, and Electric Engineers, they don't understand the complexity of Data Science projects, track tasks and do everything on excel, and keep talking about process improvements and KPI all the time as if it was a manufacturing facility. - Utilities are always LOW, they make really bad financial decisions. - Growing up inside the company takes 3+ years, you need to be involved on their bureaucracy/political game, and even beg for promotions, otherwise they won't even look at you. - Worship Six Sigma, they want to apply it to IT projects, which is ridiculous. - There's never any money for anything. - They live from the name, they say it openly and are proud of it. - Data Science projects are limited to what a 60 year-old engineer can understand.

Pros

Great place to work, I was given a lot of responsibility from day 1. The training provided was extremely useful and was accessible all year round. Extra curricular activities were organised regularly to aid networking. The benefits are fantastic, even for an intern.

Cons

The job prospects as an intern are slightly frustrating as after a year of working for the company, I still had to apply to the graduate scheme. I would think that a year is long enough to see if someone is a good fit.
