      Pros

      Good challenging work experience, light work atmosphere, very flexible and great work/life balance. Work from home whenever you feel like it! Also, get the world's best known brand on your resume.

      Cons

      Zero growth opportunities in Canada at all levels from IT to Marketing to Accounting. Feels like a government job where people just work to retire instead of working to build their career. NOT a place for recent grads. It's a good place to work if you're in Finance, everyone else won't have much opportunity and learning.

      Pros

      Numerous opportunities for growth, education, and advancement. Good management, interesting products and projects, ample chances for lateral movement. GE has a relaxed dress code, excellent benefits, and a work from home policy. It's numerous sites allow for flexibility in choosing a place to live. Employees are very well compensated, and promotions and raises are handed out fairly. Performance reviews happen as scheduled, with clear feedback from management about positives and negatives. The wide range of products and services means that even if you get bored in your current tasks, you can move into other areas and remain with the company.

      Cons

      Tight schedules, long hours, pressure to succeed in tough marketspaces, fluid product design.
