Pros

Lot of opportunity to grow, the people are friendly and helpful. If you are good you are recognized and your growth is fast

Cons

Its becoming more like a government company with older people taking their job for granted and have a very relaxed attitude.

Pros

GE and GE Healthcare prioritizes quality, compliance and integrity. It is clear to me what my first priority is. Additionally, GE invests and grows strong performers, enabling a steady career growth and sense of stability and security. Finally, GE knows its customers and the healthcare industry. The products are topline and it is rewarding to know that I am playing small part in the continuous improvement of our global healthcare systems.

Cons

Headcount is an amazingly important metric at GE Healthcare. Adhering to an OP, a budget should take precedence, but doesn't. And managing to an arbitrary headcount number incents costly decisions. Headcount decisions should be delegated and leaders/managers should be held accountable for these decisions.

Pros

- You get to travel if you want to - Stable company with big portofolio. Will still be around tomorrow - Performance is rewarded (at least in theory)

Cons

- Constant competition rather than cooperation with other teams within the company - GE keeps on buying additional companies because it fails to grow 'organically' and looks no further than the next quarterly figures. - Burocracy: a lot of time and effort lost on useless trainings and procedures - Little innovation. Focus on maintenance existing products, rather than the next generation - Internal e-mails and self-promotional meterial is always full of slogans promoting the 'GE' values and virtues. But they are entirely empty: they promote the same values at their military production sites as in the Healthcare business.
