      Stable and organized, yet not truly innovative environment

      Pros

      Excellent and well rooted employee assesment and feedback processes Engineering usually gets the tools and infratsructure required, even if expensive Lots of investment in engineering training

      Cons

      No "Software DNA", mindset is still very much of a manufacturing company Very difficult to innovate Next quarter bottom line is setting the pace, very difficult to promote investing for the longer term

      GE gives an apportunity to learn a lot and enhance your skills...its a great experiance to be at here...Job Satisfaction, Good Salary and a good atmosphere. I like the creative freedom I am able to exhibit.

      Cons

      Getting a promotion is very hard, becouse there are so many people who are older than you staying at your aim position.

      - Too much importance to financial results: quantity over quality, great pressure on workforce. - Short and narrow vision: no long-term projects, usually quarterly or yearly activities. - Every mistake is quickly forgotten, but also every success - Too many business, too many different strategies, too much fragmentation of efforts.
