      Very top down culture. Are not interested in feedback/input from production experts.

      Pros

      - I work with a handful of smart people. - This business segment generates cash, so it feels comparatively stable vs some other GE segments.

      Cons

      - The company focuses efforts almost exclusively on internal-facing metrics. - Recruiting and retention is abysmal. Employees are either >10yrs and stalled out or <1.5 looking for other work. - Upcoming merger with an even worse company. - Preach culture of integrity but the only initiatives supported by leadership are those to juke stats. - Under SEC investigation. - Stale and uninspiring corporate culture.

      It’s a very educational place to work lots of good job skills.

      Pros

      There are a lot of different jobs your able to do. You are not stuck doing the same thing over and over each day. Also working there will teach you many different skills that you would have to learn from working at multiple companies.

      Cons

      GE hires to many young kids straight out of collage and puts them in leadership positions. And they don’t listen and take advice from the workers who have been there for years and years who knows the ends and out.
