Modernizing tools but struggling with coding practices

Pros

Currently in the process of migrating developer experience to more modern and open-source tools, or at least off the legacy, half-broken mess from when the company was more of an insurance company using tech and less of a tech company selling insurance.

Cons

Lots of cowboy coding on my team. No automated tests, no code reviews, lack of expertise from the top down. Leads to lots of fire-fighting.

Remote work with a flexible schedule Decent pay

Cons

Zero training with expectations to learn on your own with little development time. Given new tasks without any consideration for amount of ramp up time.
