Pros

None really. Maybe a coworker or two, but other than that atrocious.

Cons

GEICO for a while was a wonderful place to work. The company actually cared about their employees, and rewarded good productivity…but ever since the new CEO took over, the company has gone all the way downhill and now it’s just resting at the bottom stuck in the mud. They completely overload their claims agents, added these new ridiculous metrics, and having them run majority of the states and learn all the specific rules/laws with no compensation for literally tripling the work. GEICO’s management is atrocious and that is why they have gone through 5-6 in the past year alone. Getting a good supervisor is also a shot in the dark. The majority of the supervisors could care less about helping you and get annoyed when you ask for assistance. Then it can take 5-10 minutes just to get some assistance. Find most of the supervisors just wondering around the building, chatting and having a good ole time with others, meanwhile their team is stuck or in need of assistance. There is a lot of gossip and unprofessional behavior from the supervisors and management. Raises and bonuses used to be a thing, but since the company is losing tons of money, and the new CEO has no idea what he is doing, there is zero promotion happening. No promotions in the past year, and they say non until the end of 2024 at earliest. It used to be if you were performing well, they’d reward you…but now they stalk your every move, call you a cheater and a liar, and Target you nonstop in order to slow your production down. Why you ask? Well because, they don’t want to give you a raise and pay you the salary you deserve because they’re struggling. Then when you prove you’re not cheating, they give a half apology and continue to harass and Target you. They laid off hundreds of people a couple months ago, and since more layoffs are coming, they’re trying to find any reason possible to fire an adjuster and claim it as “justified.”They claim to have an “Open Door Policy,” but that is a lie. There is clear favoritism going on and for the rest of us, we’re basically trash. GEICO had turned into a wasteland where the majority of the employees are extremely unhappy and would leave if they didn’t need the money. I would steer clear from working here, and if you have to, use them as a stepping stone on your path to a much better, happier, and secure spot with another company

Pros

working from home is a plus, but the attendance policy is very stringent towards work life balance.

Cons

Supervisors are not very versed in employee benefits, such as medical accomodation. and how to apply those accomodations accuately.
