No work life balance. Expectations for the metric are almost impossible to attain. You are expected to answer multiple calls, emails, 8-10 new claims a day, respond to demands on a different system, send letters, update police reports, negotiate responsibility with other carriers, answers other people’s accounts, return voicemails before you leave for the day and document accurately all files you access. There are not enough hours to get it all done and managers get mad if you stay late for overtime to do it all. Super stressful and no support. Turnover is high and discontent all over the office. If you do good you’ll end up with more work from others that can’t do their job. There is no time for breaks and often don’t even have time for lunch. Insurance is higher than you would think for an insurance company. They don’t actually give you two weeks off paid, you have to work to add up hours. The profit sharing you have to wait a year to get. The only way to move up is to take classes while you’re juggling the stress of the job just to be manager and manage people that your pay depends on. The pictures they take to make it look all fun are the people that they like and don’t have the stress of the impossible expectations. As soon as I have another option I am out of there!
