      Pros

      Paid licensing training and decent compensation.

      Cons

      No room for development or advancement for the forseeable future. Lack of job security, tenured high performing adjusters were recently laid off to help the companies bottom line. Metrics are constantly changing last minute so you can never be sure how well you're performing. Employees are graded on tiers against one another.

      There will be good times and bad times but you have to weather the storm first to get to the good times

      Pros

      There are still some Good employees left If you do not have any experience adjusting claims then GEICO would be a good option. You will learn a lot and you will be challenged, They give a fair chance for current employees to promote to lower levels of management.

      Cons

      Poor management. Half of the supervisors are unfit for the position they hold. The problem only gets worse for higher positions as the managers and directors that are currently at GEICO seem to be making a lot of bad decisions. Time will probably prove this to be true as the company already had its first layoffs (in the company's history) in 2023. Recent issue for them is poor communication. Similar to any large employer. The company does not care about the employees. If the company needs to meet a quota of employees that need to be let go, any employee is fair game regardless of their tenure. They will use performance as an excuse to end employment which is terrible when that is not the actual reason.
