Pros

Ability to create things from scratch. Openness to ideas and initiatives. Very agile environment, fast approval processes. No glass ceilings in terms of growth or learning. Exposure to senior stakeholders in a very supportive environment. No micromanagement, very independent work. Tons of inspiring people around you. :)

Cons

You need to be ready to work in an environment that has little guidance in terms of processes. If this scares you and you prefer working under clear guidelines, you may be frustrated. The pro of this is that in most cases, you can drive the creation of guidelines and standardization, but for some people this may be a downside.
